My three grown girls! xoxxo

Over the years I worked for holistic spas and salons that put their total emphasis on health and well being. I also worked with dermatologists, plastic surgeons, department stores, spa management, spa consulting, and taught at the Florida College of Natural Health.
A few years ago, one of my close friends commented that I must have been born to work in the beauty industry. We both laughed about how I used to read this book my mom had on natural beauty remedies. As a little girl, I would blend up crazy concoctions in my kitchen that I would smear all over our faces! I think deep down, I just wanted to serve women and make them feel better about themselves inside and out. Skincare therapist and spa consultant by day...supermom by night...Ok, well I wish I was a "super" mom...Don't we all? I am however, a mother to a beautiful, free-spirited 34-year-old named Paris who has been in recovery for the past 7 years and just celebrated 4 consecutive years of sobriety. I also have a more serious, lovely and very funny, 20-year-old named Peyton, and the baby of the family is Macey, my adorable sunshine, who is 19-years old. I recently celebrated my 23rd anniversary with my husband, Todd, who I love more than pizza (it's an inside joke!) Seriously though, he has stuck by me through a lot and is where I find my strength! We are a blended family, and it has been challenging over the years, to say the least. I will speak more about this later in our podcast... I love living in Florida and spend lots of time with my family at the beach, floating in the clear, beautiful springs, and going to the happiest place on earth. If you live here, you'll know what I mean! Through the years, I have made a lot of mistakes. But I was relentless in my pursuit to help my child. My daughter is alive today only through the grace of God. His strength is what has carried me through my darkest days and nights. I encourage you to lean on him for guidance, wisdom, and grace. I am so thankful for my parents who have stood by and supported me. They've taken my younger daughters while I disappeared for days to deal with crisis after crisis. My mom offered many words of wisdom and just listened while I cried my heart out not knowing what to do while I watched my daughter slowly slipping away. We were fortunate that my daughter met a wonderful woman who agreed to be her mentor, and she had been so blessed in the past few years to work for an amazing couple that treated her like family and continued to believe in her even when she relapsed a couple times while working for them. I will be forever grateful to all of them for their contributions in my daughters journey to sobriety. Since the pandemic, I have taken some time off to focus on my family. I am trying to concentrate on self-care. Something we moms struggle with, especially when we have a difficult family life. I have been taking a series of certification classes in the following areas:
I hope I can save you some heartache on your own journey with your children. I would love to do that for you. That is one of the main reasons I started this website with my daughter. I struggled to find the answers I needed to help make my daughter whole again and ran into so many road blocks. I continue to see mothers struggling, and I hope this website, along with the Facebook page and group, will provide some much-needed resources. Paris and I will soon start a podcast, which we hope you will enjoy. Please refer to this site when you are struggling to understand your child or young adult struggling with addiction issues. I also encourage you to join my brand new Facebook group. This group is designed to spread love and light into all the dark places in your life and help you feel whole again. Tamara |
